Consent
Opwel asks for consent separately for each purpose, so agreeing to one thing never implies agreement to another. Every consent is recorded with its purpose, version and timestamp.

Service and contact consent
When you submit an enquiry, you consent to Opwel contacting you about that enquiry by phone, WhatsApp or email. This is service communication and is required for us to respond to you.
It does not permit marketing, and it does not permit sharing your information for any other purpose.
Marketing consent
Marketing consent is always separate, always optional and always unchecked by default. You can withdraw it from any email we send, or by contacting us.
Consent to care
Before clinical services begin, you will be asked to consent to the care itself, including testing and teleconsultation. This is explained at the time, with the opportunity to ask questions.
Report upload and processing
If you upload a report for explanation, you will be asked to consent to that specific processing before it begins. That consent covers only the processing described to you at the time.
Consent to publish a story
We publish customer stories only with recorded consent, and consent is granular: name, photograph, quote and description of outcomes are each agreed separately.
You can withdraw consent for any element at any time. Withdrawal removes the relevant asset promptly, including from pages that reference it.
Withdrawing consent
To withdraw any consent, email [email protected], or [email protected] if you are an existing member. Withdrawing a consent required to deliver care may mean we can no longer provide part of the service, and we will explain that clearly if it applies.
Your consent rights under the DPDP Act
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you the right to withdraw consent at any time, and to do it as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal applies to processing from that point forward. It does not undo processing that was lawful while the consent was in place.
You can also nominate another person to exercise your rights, including consent decisions, if you die or become incapacitated. Tell us in writing who you want that person to be.
What we do not treat as consent
Continuing to use the website is not consent. A pre-ticked box is not consent. Consent bundled with something else is not consent.
Where we rely on consent, it is specific to a purpose, recorded, and separable from every other consent we hold for you.
